Eranos
In the lakeside haven of Eranos, Erich Neumann found both a close friendship with founder Olga Fröbe-Kapteyn and the creative home where his most influential ideas came to life

Erich Neumann and Eranos
On the shores of Lake Maggiore in Ascona, Switzerland, Olga Fröbe-Kapteyn created Eranos — a meeting place where some of the most brilliant minds of the twentieth century gathered each summer to share ideas. When Erich Neumann arrived there in 1947, a deep friendship quickly formed between him and Olga, opening the door to twelve summers of lectures— as a key-note speaker— dialogue, and creative exchange. In this unique setting, Neumann found not only an intellectual stage but also a place of belonging, where his thinking could unfold in full, and his major works take shape.
